Dalian Maritime University is a national key university affiliated to the Ministry of Transport of China, a national "211 Project" and "first-class discipline" construction university, and one of the few maritime universities in the world recognized by the International Maritime Organization as "internationally renowned". As one of the first batch of Chinese government scholarship institutions, Dalian Maritime University has accepted foreign students since 1955. Up to now, it has trained more than 5000 students from more than 90 countries and regions to study in China, including undergraduates, masters and doctoral students.
